Advantage Health Care: Mytle Health LLC Donates to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital

In a significant act of support, Mytle Health, a healthcare advocacy group operating in Ghana and the US, has generously contributed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital’s Medical and Therapeutic Department. This donation will fund mattresses for 62 beds, expanding the hospital’s capacity to transition patients from the Emergency Unit to proper wards more swiftly. This initiative underscores our commitment to making a lasting impact on healthcare access, ensuring the Advantage Health Care.

The term “No bed syndrome” emerged in 2018 to describe the critical shortage of beds and mattresses in healthcare facilities across the country, leading to numerous patients being denied necessary care. This dire situation resulted in some patients tragically losing their lives.

Mrs. Augusta Aninakwah Gyimah, the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, gratefully acknowledged the donation received from Mytle Health, recognizing it as a timely support for the Medical Block. Prof. Albert Akpalu, a renowned Neurologist also thanked Mytle Health LLC for the support. He acknowledged the support services will help Korle-Bu deliver its mandate to the public.
